Clear Choices for Woodstock
The bright lines delineating the differences of our BOF candidates cannot be missed in this upcoming election.
On one hand, we have two candidates who have shown us that they are not serious about their charge based upon their prior performance. The facts also make clear that their experience with multi-million dollar budgets is highly lacking. In their campaigns they have not addressed the issues in any way and continue to try to paint the opposing candidates as having ulterior motives of “control”, and more, when it is they, who by their actions, have undoubtedly shown us that their “control” is far more important to them than proper administration of the public’s business. The record is clear, the facts undeniable, and are available throughout this site for everyone to see. Take the time and you will not be disappointed.
On the other hand, we have Dave Richardson who on his own time and at his own expense has analyzed Woodstock finances over many years in great detail and specificity, and he has gone about this in a gentlemanly and business like fashion in pointing out the discrepancies and patterns of manipulation that are not in any way in the interest of the town or its citizens. The actions that he has taken make clear his intentions, knowledge and experience, and ability to sift through the obfuscation that we continue to suffer as a town year after year by the people currently administering your tax dollars.
We also have Charlie Super. This is a man whose experience and track record with multi-million dollar budgets speaks for itself. In addition, this is a man who has decades of experience in education and can recognize all of the tricks and misdirection employed in budget creation and administration and will have no trouble identifying and asking the proper questions to cut through the fog and hold people accountable for their statements and actions while bringing clarity to Woodstock finances.
We are not talking about small issues or differences here. As Woodstock moves into the future, the issues will continue to become more complicated and having those with the experience to navigate the tough financial issues that we will continue to face will become even more imperative.
As Woodstock voters contemplate their choices heading into Tuesday, that contemplation must include the question of- “Who would you rather have managing your tax dollars- 'club-members' or men of experience?”
The choices are clear and it is time for Woodstock to make the correct ones for the right reasons.

Woodstock needs these experienced people to manage the "family business" which is sometimes called the combined Woodstock Municipal Budget.
