FOIA in the Spotlight
I just watched Barack Obama describe how the FOIA will apply in his administration. Specifically, he mentioned the fact that requests that can be legally defended doesn’t mean that they should be. A welcome departure from the tactics of the Bush administration.
Any of you that have been following the blog know that our BOE has spent thousands of dollars of our tax money denying requests just because they could. If it’s a new day in Washington, will it be in Woodstock?
If the behavior of the BOE continues along the lines of past manipulations it will be reported here.
