Woodstock Will Ride the Wave

In communication with Dr. Fusco this week I have learned that the following towns have begun discussing formation of Citizen Audit Committees:

New London, Farmington, Monroe, East Lyme, West Hartford, Trumbull & Tolland.

As Dr. Fusco is about to be very busy, we have scheduled a session with him to begin to develop the outline and strategy for the initiative here in Woodstock. This is now scheduled for the evening of October 8th.

As previously mentioned, there is room for those who may wish to participate or to learn more about it.

The premise of this initiative is spreading like wildfire throughout the State. In fact,
-HERE- you will find a press release put out in Trumbull just yesterday.

If you caught the video below, you will notice that elected officials around the state are seeing the light about having to take a serious look at spending- the economic times demand it, even here in Mayberry.

If you need information or have questions, call 860-974-3022 or email

This wave is growing rapidly and will be a chance to make history here in the State of Connecticut and actually change the status quo for the benefit of the children and the taxpayers. Now is the time.

This will be one of those processes in which citizens just go through the budget department by department, line by line, to drain the pool. This process is not a witch hunt as some would like you to believe, but a process that will reveal the issues of spending and budget planning or lack thereof as the pool is drained.

The sock puppets of this town would have you think that as a taxpayer you have no rights to ask questions about how your money is spent whether it is taken directly by the town or redistributed to the town by the state.

So, get yourself involved in the review process. Remember, we do not always elect the smartest people to town offices, usually they are those who just have more time on their hands.

Citizens also need to know that they can actually have more influence from the sidelines. Your elected officials need your help and your motivation to do the right thing.
