A Thank You From Dave
Woodstocktruth,
With regard to yesterday’s budget referendum, I want to say “Thanks” to you as well as the folks at CPS and all the others who helped to get information out to the voters, and of course most especially, to the voters themselves who turned out in strong numbers to turn down this inflated budget. The message here should have been clear; the backroom shenanigans and mismanagement of the past are not going to be tolerated.
Honesty and transparency on the part of all the town boards will be required going forward. But remember, sending the message once may not be enough. One would have thought that last November’s shellacking at the polls would have had a little more impact, but clearly memories are short, and some who rode in on the wave didn’t hear the message at all. This was a good second step, more are coming.
Thanks Again,
Dave Richardson

"The truth will set us free" and it has. Thank you Dave and publisher of WoodstockTruth.com and all the people who get the word out.
Perhaps Woodstock would be better off if they collected some tax from the businesses and good old boys who have the lowest assessed property values in the area.
It is only a matter of time until the lid blows off this Town. The truth will come out, people are done being sheep. Good old boys, a friendly warning...Be on your toes!
The thanks should go out to Dave. If it wasn't for him, most of us would not be aware of the goings on with the budget, although we have had our concerns. Thank you Dave....
Dear Woodstock Truth,
Mr. Richardson should be commended for his knowledge, strength and fortitude regarding the illegal accounting practices on the budget. I applaud his perseverance and tenacity on this issue. I had only wished that the last administration, run by Margaret Wholean, had listened to Mr. Richardson when given the information and the opportunity. But Ms. Wholean and others in her regime, like Mr. Walker’s current administration, did nothing but give excuses and lame “citings”, and pass the buck to another committee. If it were not for Mr. Richardson, this grave budget manipulation would still have no voice.
I fear that not all of the townspeople understand the mathematical manipulation and actions from our alleged leaders, Mr. Walker, Mr. Paquette, Mr. Eaffy, Mrs. Rich, and the advisory Board of Finance. I believe that possibly, the voter’s true concern is more simplified, referencing the 5.33% tax increase had this budget proposal passed. I also believe that with Mr. Richardson’s perseverance of this issue and the good job The Villager Newspaper has done on reporting the scam/crime against the taxpayers, that the townspeople will soon come to an understanding of this financial manipulation.
May Mr. Richardson keep up the good work for the good of the community and may the community know of his goodness and good deeds. And may the greedy and those who turn a blind-eye and/or do nothing with reliable, competent information be held accountable.
Mr. Richardson, many hands make light work…please let the townspeople know how they may help to remedy this situation.

Maggie...you are right on. Its time for scrutinization and persistence. I think that the town stands pretty united in wanting some accountability and change.
Dave,
Thank YOU.
Admin,
Good job! Keep it up.
Dear Mr. Richardson,
We have not met, but I look forward to doing so in the near future. All I can say is "wish you were active when I was on the the BOE." We fought these similar arguments, but you certainly have brought a calmness and clarity that only helps the cause of fiscal conservatism and good government.
Yours truly,
Jay Livernois
